Red Nucleus
The brief was born from a page that shouted. Red Nucleus answers with
restraint: a single incandescent element on a field of near-black. If everything
is loud, nothing is — so only one thing here is allowed to burn.
The core is a single fragment shader. Four octaves of domain-warped fbm
churn its surface; a white-hot heart breathes underneath; three electrons trace
tilted orbitals and dim as they pass behind the limb. A click sends a shockwave
through the corona.
The type works at editorial scale in two registers: RED set solid,
NUCLEUS hollow — the concept's negative space. Metadata whispers in mono at the
frame's edge and never competes with the fire.
The darkness is alive. Film grain, shader dithering and a faint drifting
nebula keep the black from going dead — texture instead of noise, heat instead
of volume.
